GREEK for foreigners

LESSONS

Our School offers simple and intensive courses of the Modern Greek language at all levels of Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced. At the beginning of the course, prospective students take a qualifying test to determine their true level of knowledge, if this is not proven by a Certificate of Attendance in the past. At the end of the courses a Certificate is awarded for each level.

CURRICULUM

The curriculum includes grammar and vocabulary exercises, idiom expressions, spelling, as well as skills such as speech production (in groups in the classroom, with Greek speakers, etc.), listening (dialogues from CD, songs, radio news, etc.), reading (magazines, newspapers, books of Greek literature, etc.), production of written speech (cards, letters, etc.). Reference is also made to the History of Crete.

Teaching is facilitated by the audiovisual media available at the School, such as computers, DVDs.

Sometimes, during Advanced Level courses, we invite specialists to give lectures on current topics.

LEVELS

1. Complete curriculum for all levels Beginners (Class A), Lower Intermediate (Class B), Upper Intermediate (Class C) and Advanced (Class D)

There are also 4-hour classes weekly from October to May.
